Quiet morning

Out at Inverkeithing at 7:10 this morning with the morning already remarkably light. Conditions were very still under a cloudless sky. A few finches appeared to be arriving possibly, although I never managed to catch any coming off the river - Goldfinch, Greenfinch and Chaffinch. no Linnet have arrived yet, but should be here in a week or so. No Geese or Swans over and not a hint of a Golden Plover (hard bird to get here). In the harbour what gulls there were stayed at a distance in a hard to access corner hedged about by closed industrial sites. A few Herring, Black-headed and Common Gulls loitered in the channel with Teal and a few Dunlin. Goldeneye on the river were just over 30. No new species, but a nice way to start the day. Shame about having to go to work afterwards.

Still waters running deep

Harour boats with Divit hooses

Well, there should be some birds I suppose

Small gull collection

Stone Marine, which will one day host a Black Redstart
