Interesting to see that from the top of the hill, when not disturbed by human presence, there were 7 Moorhens visible on the pond. SEVEN! If I'm lucky from the pond side I have seen 2. Chances are it could be a real increase, but it looked a lot like 3 pairs plus a spare, or four pairs? Time will tell.
It was a pretty grey morning, with visibility less than 20km. There also seemed to be a lot of Blackbirds around compared to normal (cf. Inverkeithing next day, when this was also true). Greylags were new for the square, and brought up the half-century.
